Natalie and I just booked last minute trip to Ireland leaving the beginning of June. If you have been and have tips on great places to see and hike, we would love to know. ChatGPT does a great job, but something about human emotion around travel is wanted, plus humans always have serendipity and insights that robots won’t have.
We are going with our 10 year old and start in Dublin and want to keep the 2 weeks open so we just follow the spirit and see where it takes us. If you have any connection to Bono or Enya or Damien Rice, we would love to pay them a visit. This is what I think will happen:
Thanks friends for the advice. I really want to see nature but also meet people in bars and just absorb this country that has created so much of what I love.
Happy Friday and 420

You seem like the kind of person who might have seen and loved the indie film Once. The last time I was in Dublin I went to see the filming locations. The two most powerful scenes are the music store (which recently moved from downtown to the suburbs, so not an option) and the final piano scene, which was filmed outside a bunch of otherwise unremarkable apartment buildings far from where the tourists go but within walking distance of the Beckett Bridge, here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/bzU9uTSHheEQP2HeA
If you didn't love Once, then you'll be deeply underwhelmed and should go to something Guinness-themed instead.
and of course Guinness Storehouse
