This Email Is Full of Financial Advice… Sue Me!
I started a global fast for crypto.
If we all pray for a healthy recovery, crypto will get better.
Use the money you would have spent on meals and buy some crypto today.
Jesus loves all of us and He loves crypto too.
This newsletter I do was inspired by Trevor McKendrick who got me hooked on his newsletter 3 years ago and also hooked me on using Substack… which is the email software that sends you my spam every week.
Trevor just announced his new company Seis.com, a bank for the 44 million Spanish speakers in the United States. I have a really good feeling they will do well for some reason… and I put my money where my mouth is. I share my love of Trevor here.
This reminds me. If you want to make investments with me, just let me know.
It’s basically all I do, all day long… meeting founders like Trevor. In fact, I wouldn’t have met Trevor if I didn’t meet Trent Mano and get invited to Mexico City on a trip. That same Trent Mano is my partner in Cryptopia and our new pre-seed investment fund we are calling Convoi Ventures. If you’d like to be a part of Convoi Ventures fill out this form.
I will share how excited I am about Convoi Ventures next week, and probably every week after. I plan to spam you with what is happening on that front. We plan to invest in 4 companies a month and have already committed to 7. Number one rule… They are only Utah companies. Sorry if you dwell in the Lesser 49, but I am all in on Utah, no exceptions.
Getting my nails done for a documentary that is coming out. Stay tuned!
Cryptopia was as weird as I hoped it would be. And in today’s world, I think that means a 5-star review or 9 net promotor score.
I just posted about it today with a cool video that just shows the scene.
You can also watch my session where I used my Bruno outfit I picked up in Ecuador.
The next big event will be in May with lots of little events before then that I will mention in future newsletters.
If you want more intimate conversations about what crypto in Utah is up to I would definitely start with this podcast episode I did with Jeff Burningham and Kirk Ouimet that was released last week.
My oldest girls got me addicted to anime this week. I’m 13 episodes into Demon Slayer, and I am a little shocked at how much I enjoy it. I used to treat it as something that made no sense and was so ridiculous. I love when minds can be changed when you give something a chance. Sounds a whole lot like Web3, right?
On the same day that Cryptopia happened, Derek and I had a baby! It’s called Moontax. All of our Youtube work together ended up producing this company (did you know I hired him to help me with these emails, and he never did a single one?!)
Moontax.com is a result of my hatred of the government taxing us to death and robbing us wherever they can while inflating our money.
I asked my Linkedin following if there was a CPA who could help me and the result is we found several CPAs and formed a new company to help with tax strategies for people in crypto. Go sign up, it’s worth it! I kind of wish I could hire Al Capone as an influencer for this company, but he died years ago.
Lastly, here is a good meme for the week.
