I had a gathering of friends in Utah County to enjoy homemade pizza. We had one pizza with scallops, something that was a first for everyone, and it slapped.
We had one with peppers and corn, and even this egg pizza. It was very similar to the first time I saw egg on a pizza in Italy 25 years ago.
At one point in the evening 10 of us were on the deck facing west and watching the sunset over the valley. I am the guy who often brings up a question to understand the sentiment towards current trends. I asked the group, “where are you getting your memes right now?” One women replied, “what is a meme” which sparked a healthy debate. I explained that I think almost everything is a meme today. Anything with a decent amount of attention will be memed. I believe Trump is indirectly the best meme creator of our lifetime, at least the most well known.
So after this good meme chat, someone brought up a song they have been jamming to on repeat. I was 2 weeks late on discovering this viral sensation, which is a disappoint for me. I need to be much quicker on the draw for the best memes. This man created a song from Trump’s words about the Haitians eating pets in Springfield.
Near the end of our pizza party and discussion on memes, everyone broke out into spontaneous dancing when this song blasted on the speaker. It was a perfect night.

As far as remember the word “meme” was invented by Richard Dawkins in his “The selfish gene”, I liked the parallel between memes and genes, both want to spread their DNA
