Here is another book I finished on the plane ride home. Very quick and easy with words that made me realize I need to change my language. I could see everyone reading this and being better off because of the effort.
I have not been consistent in reading physical books. It is just not the season for me to figure out how to do it. I know I will, but season isn’t now.
If your don’t have time to read the book, here is cheat sheet from GPT4o:
*The Four Agreements* is a book by Don Miguel Ruiz, based on ancient Toltec wisdom. It presents a simple yet profound code of conduct for achieving personal freedom and a life of integrity, love, and happiness. The book outlines four key agreements that one can make with oneself to live a more fulfilling life:
1. **Be Impeccable with Your Word:**
- This agreement emphasizes the power of language. It encourages speaking with integrity, saying only what you mean, and avoiding harmful speech against yourself or others. Your words are powerful tools that can either create positivity or negativity, so use them wisely.
2. **Don’t Take Anything Personally:**
- This agreement advises not to internalize the opinions and actions of others. Recognizing that what others say and do is often a projection of their own reality, not yours, can free you from unnecessary suffering. By not taking things personally, you become less reactive and more peaceful.
3. **Don’t Make Assumptions:**
- This agreement encourages clear communication. Making assumptions can lead to misunderstandings and unnecessary conflict. By asking questions and expressing what you really want or need, you can avoid a lot of unnecessary drama in your life.
4. **Always Do Your Best:**
- This agreement is about effort and intention. Your best will vary depending on circumstances, but by always striving to do your best, you avoid self-judgment and regret. This approach fosters self-acceptance and continuous improvement.
Together, these agreements form a guide to personal transformation. They encourage mindfulness, self-awareness, and a more intentional way of living. Ruiz's teachings, while rooted in Toltec philosophy, are presented in a way that is accessible and relevant to modern life, making them popular among those seeking personal development and spiritual growth.

May 420 be with you. Here is a non relevant photo for today’s post of me playing with night vision this week. I don’t use social media right now so I feel like I will just randomly post here what use to go on Instagram.
I like to reframe Agreements 2 and 3 so that they are positive, rather than negative. For, the brain has a hard time seeing the "Don't" in statements. I reframe them thusly:
2. Be empathetic
3. Be curious
The Four Agreements is in my top 5 books
The 5th Agreement is pretty great too.
