Got smashed today while climbing a willow tree in my backyard. I was trying to break off some dead branches. This injury makes typing very painful, so I don’t think I can do very much of it today.
For over 3 years a team of documentarian film makers have been following me around. They are in town to get footage of Pioneer Day, which is Utah’s holiday. When they film me I tell them everything I am thinking. I don’t know what the goal of the film will be but it comes out next year. I know it is about my home state and pioneers of both tech and religion that are unique to Utah. I cannot wait to watch myself and cringe because the me from yesterday is so naive and doesn’t know what he is talking about.
The film team tried my new vitamins and I think they liked them. One of them was from Malfa, TX. I love artist the mosts. I married one. I will post a message from her sharing her art history visually. I want to live one month in Malfa, Texas. Some artsy stuff goes on there, so I’ve been told. Beyonce has her house there, so I’ve been told. there are so many towns that I need to map out and Malfa is next.
Malfa has this Prada store that is an art installation in the desert. I started at it for a long time, it really really moves me because I get it. I really feel what the artist was communicating. I didn’t need to wikipedia it, I just saw it and got it.
Ouch my finger is in so much pain so I am done now. Love you all
Happy 4:20 and hump day (also Wednesday is garbage day for our house)
Scott Paul

Sorry to hear about your accident. I hope it heals up fast.
I find it so interesting that you, as an entrepreneur, appreciate the Arts. When I was in high school, I went to an Art High School. Apart from all the Art Majors (Art, Dance, Drama, Music) there was also a major in Entrepreneurship. I think entrepreneurs are artists too, just maybe not with paintbrushes, or pianos, but with business tools.
I've always loved America, and it's been my dream since I was 17 to come to the USA and study some form of Art there. At 17 I loved Walt Disney, and I wanted to be an animator. At 26, I tried again, and got a job as a camp counsellor, but things didn't work out. At 29 I got a scholarship at the University of Texas Arlington. I wanted to study Drama and Filmmaking. That's how my Art journey has progressed. These days I write more. I find writing very artistic.
Visiting America is still on my bucket list. I wouldn't mind going to Texas. I think the Pioneer/Bible Belt/Farm Culture of the South and West US is very similar to my Afrikaans culture (one of the 11 official languages/cultures of South Africa).
The history of South Africa and America developing into independent countries from British rule is so similar in so many ways, like two branches of a tree. You guys had Washington to lead you to Independence. South Africa had to go through 2 bloody wars before we won our independence. We both come from Dutch stock. Also similar religious backgrounds (protestant Christianity). A melting pot of European settlers and pioneers changing the country and becoming a new nation. We have so much in common.
Anyways, I'd love to come see the Artsy stuff in the US. I have this dream of going on a road trip through America (you guys driving on the other side of the road will take a while to get used to), and then seeing all my favourite places, such as especially the hot, sea towns and California, New York, Colorado, Montana, Yellowstone, Yosemite, The Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore etc.
I am also very excited to see snow for the first time in my life (I've only seen it on TV). Though we do get a little snow in South Africa, it's rarely worth mentioning, mostly on mountain tops and definitely not where I live in the mainland and warm summer rainfall region where I live (close to Johannesburg). If you ever want to see a little bit of Europe in Africa, I recommend you come visit Artsy, Cultural Cape Town. We also have gorgeous sea towns. The Indian Ocean and Atlantic Ocean meet, so we have warm sea towns, and cold ones such as Cape Town. There's also a lot of surfing.
Anyways, dreaming today. I love traveling. I've been through South Africa, to our neighbouring country Zimbabwe and to Thailand.
Hope you feel well soon. Have a great day. God bless!
