I Know You Judge People By What They Drive
I want to invent a machine that hits your funny bone perfectly each time. Like a massage chair but for your knees. Am I the only person that enjoys it when a doctor hits that nerve perfectly?
I watched the weather get warm here in Utah and people flooded streets like it was a normal day in Santa Monica. Crazy what warm weather does. You cherish it so much but eventually, we get used to it and want winter again. This is hedonistic adaptation theory I guess.
I tried to do street scare while out walking and this girl wasn’t too shocked.
I am going to ask questions in this weekly blog thingy. One I have right now is how someone possibly beats inflation when investing?
I am looking for a way to get out of this mess we are in where things seem upside down. It was a rule that you drive a car off a lot and it went down 20%. Now it’s the opposite. Everything makes no sense. Wrote more about it here.
I got to sit down with a bunch of Republicans.
They are good people once you get to know them personally. I figure the same goes for almost any political party. I went to a dinner with all the senators and congressmen in Utah. I think it was a bit of a meet and greet. It wasn’t too different than when you go to tech events or any convention. People are generally kind and want to be social after two years of feeling locked down. I think it was a black-tie type of event, I went with a bowtie…and more. This guy is the Chair of the GOP, he’s also a fellow sheep rancher. I have 9, he has thousands.
I also want to run for lieutenant governor with my friend soon. She will run for Gov. She might have to pick a party, but for me… party of one thank you.
When I look over out of my minivan or Tesla at someone in a Ferrari or Lamborghini I always want to know how old are they are because that is the real question isn’t it?
If I look over and the person I see is in their 70s then im like “yeah that explains it, old money” but if the guy or girl is 10 years younger than I am like “they must be a criminal or an MLMer or something” :)
It’s pretty easy to judge people by the car they drive, right?
There is this trend of quitting work.
I don’t know what it actually means. I do think if, given the choice, many people wouldn’t work if they had their needs met. Many others would work to afford the fancy stuff.
I can’t stop thinking about what I would do if I had everything I’ve ever needed taken care of. No need to work or meet anyone or take any calls or fulfill any duties or obligations. Imagine what it would be like to have a blank slate and time on your hands to explore whatever there is to explore.
What would you do? Would you wander in the wilderness and see everything there in nature? Would you read book after book? Would you try to hang out with friends and do your favorite weekend activity all week long?
Maybe the question is what are you on this earth to do when all the social constructs and systems aren’t there to keep you in line? What activities will fill up your time?
I think I’m coming to terms with the fact that I want to be an entertainer and a creator. I am envious of people who captivate someone’s attention for an hour of stand-up comedy. I want to be around people and share laughter but also be uncomfortable. I like the lack of comfort when worrying about what others think of me, it might be my flow state…right between caring and not caring.
My team in Lviv is getting missiles in their city now. The Salt Lake Tribune interviewed me for an article about my team over there… and then they posted it behind a paywall. Who will ever pay a newspaper to read one article… no one. So I share it here in that rare case you are already a subscriber. Here is the tweet.
