Giddy is launching a token… not a pump and dump.

Giddy is going to be launching a utility token. It’s happening sooner than I expected. Giddy’s token will fix long-standing, well-known bugs in DeFi and move the needle on blockchain tech. Their memes are getting better each day, which obviously means they will be the biggest thing in Utah.

It’s been almost a year since I stepped down as CEO of Wooly. How is it going?

Well for Wooly, they have brought in new team members, new products, and they are growing faster than ever with fewer people. I got to join the team for some sledding at Soldier Hollow and dinner at Sundance. They are helping brands build ambassador programs and saving money that would otherwise go to Facebook on ads. Kyle Fraughton has done an amazing taking over and is raising a Series A for the company right now.

Convoi Ventures is on fire. It really comes down to Trent having a very complimentary skill and gift to my madness, the yin to my yang. I have never seen so many people get behind a project of mine like people are getting behind Convoi Ventures. We have already done 8 deals, and I will soon share more about them. Almost every LP/Investor we speak to subscribes to our fund. I think it’s the focus on Utah and on a community that makes us stand out when we share what we are going to do. I took a quick trip to LA with Alex Johnson from Velvet.

I can’t say enough good about this young company. When I say young, I mean really young. The CEO, Andrew Pignanelli, is 20 years old. Velvet has just raised a seed round that Convoi got to be part of. They are looking for a designer if anyone out there reads this and feels moved.

The Velvet team is so well networked that everywhere I go they seem to be throwing the biggest party with the biggest investors and creators in the space. I have been at this networking game for years and these 20-something-year-olds are completely destroying me at my own game. Can’t fight against the youth… Bradley of Sublime. So I joined them, and now I have friends all over the country.

I got invited to a Jazz game by Brandon Fugal to meet a U.S. Representative named John Curtis. Curtis wants to learn web3 and promised he will be most knowledgeable in congress about all things crypto by the end of the year. I am putting together a group of leaders to go to Washington DC and talk very slowly to very old people about digital money. Snoop Dog, Mark Cuban, and anyone that might get the congress excited to come to an event and get photos for their grandkids.

The Winter Olympics are usually my favorite time of year. I still can’t believe that there isn’t a way to watch events with ads instead of paying for some stupid subscription to Peacock. Old school is just holding on as long as they can and making a horrible user experience for anyone who cut the cable cord like 15 years ago.

Shaun White launched his own snowboard brand called Whitespace and used one of the boards to come in 4th place at his 5th Olympics. I have this board in my room and he signed it. I will never ride it, it belongs on my wall.
