I went to NFT LA.
As you probably can guess, there isn’t much substance. When new industries start, there aren’t a lot of “real” things happening. It’s all make-believe until it isn’t.
In the beginning, we are all faking it a bit. You don’t know who is going to survive and there is so much noise. While I am in LA, my close friend is launching his NFT project in Miami. He has real motorcycles that are custom made and they come with a cool NFT as well. Good blend of real-world and metaverse.
We both text each other asking, “does any of this really matter? This goes one of two ways. We are pioneers, or we are foolish. Maybe both can be true at the same time. One thing we agree on is that people are hopeful and full of creativity and see a world that could be.
Cryptopia has tickets going on sale today, and you can get tickets here. Speaking of NFTs you can pay more to get an NFT ticket. The hope is that the NFT is more valuable than a regular ticket because it could have secret unlockable experiences like a day of OneWheeling with me :)
Mountain biking with my dad and brothers today was rare because we haven’t all been together for several years.
Also, I went swimming and realized peeing in pools doesn’t change the color of the water.
Because I own this beautiful NFT that came from the famous artist Takashi Murakami, Nike gave me a free NFT. It is just a seed now, but someday it turns into a flower. People will give me $30,000 for it right now, but I just don’t feel I should sell it. There are few projects being done by the world’s most renowned artists, so I am keeping my Picasso.
I ran into some of my favs at the CEO of the year for Utah event.
But I quickly got banned from the event for shouting about my friend’s Batman NFT launch.
I also got banned for 48 hours for posting this on LinkedIn.
After getting banned I remembered why I started this email newsletter. Elon luckily is buying up social networks and he can save me in the future.
Two years ago exactly we got some Easter Sheep. 4 to be exact. They are now 9.
We held our first Crypto Monday, and our second Crypto Monday is open to all. Thanks to Velvet, Block Cities, and Cryptopia for making it happen.
Are you are in St. George right now? Let’s go OneWheeling!
