Angel Cake
Trent and I, along with the most amazing team consisting of Kelly, Reuben and Emily, have put together Angel Cake.
Let me have Trent, in his own words, tell you what it is:
Scott and I founded Convoi Ventures together because of a shared love of rabble rousing, and surrounding ourselves with rabble rousers.
We started Convoi with the mission to be the first to find and fund Utah’s next breakout founders and startups. We knew the way we’d do that is through building a community of builders, founders, and operators like only Convoi can.
Now in our 3rd year of the fund, we’re doubling down. The most consistent thing we hear is “I love what Convoi is doing, how can I help?”.
We’re launching Angel Cake. We can’t say much about it publicly, but if you’re a founder/executive or VP+ of a company, we’d love to share more with you about it directly.
Every thing we do at Convoi Ventures is to support founders, and we think the community of tech leaders we’re building at Angel Cake is going to be one of the most effective ways to do that.
We’re not the smartest at Convoi, but we’ve found if a problem at a startup can be solved with human capital, we’re probably the best at that. And luckily for us, most problems at startups can be solved with human capital, specifically:
1. Talent/new hires
2. Advisors/mentors/been-there-done-that folks
3. Potential Customers
4. Investors
We have a few spots left for our launch party tomorrow (Wednesday) night at 6pm, and if you’re a Founder/Exec/VP or above at a series A+ startup/tech co, hit us up!

And might as well add a song for the day.
